Yeah. And people who claim that it's not real are usually the ones exhibiting it. Blind spots exist.

Negative masculine traits and stereotypes, sure there can be a discussion there. Packaged in with fringe feminist talking points and labeled as toxic masculinity, no.

No. I think there are shitty, egotistical personality traits that apply to everyone no matter sex/gender.

We have the least masculinity in our society in all of it's history and we have the greatest amount of societal breakdown in all of our history. The problem with society right now is a lack of masculinity.

Yes. Men are essentially taught to keep all their emotions bottled up or you're seen as weak. Extremely unhealthy.

That's not all there is to toxic masculinity though.

I wonder, are modern men more fragile? We've seen all this bottling up of emotions results in all sorts of mental diseases. So how come it didn't happen in previous generations?

I mean, mental disease always existed. But we didn't have all these shootings and deranged men out there to the degree we have them now.

They have online echo chambers now to reinforce their ideas and provide scapegoats, is my take.

We have more awareness of things outside of our own reach these days than we've ever had before. I think it did happen in previous generations, but you typically didn't hear about much outside of what happened to you or people you know.

If high speed internet, social media, etc. existed back then, I believe they would have heard about it just as much.

For example, if someone in Tokyo, Japan trips and falls in 2020, it only takes someone filming it with their cell phone and uploading it to Youtube or some other video streaming web site with a few taps of a touch screen in order for that event to possibly have a global reach.

If someone in Tokyo, Japan tripped and fell in 1920, nobody outside of that general area would know about it.
