Obviously things will stay weird for some time after lockdowns end, with some amount of social distancing and more emphasis on cleanliness until a vaccine can be mass-produced, but things have gone back to normal after far graver events in human history.

Just this morning an NPR correspondent suggested that people will probably stop hugging and shaking hands and will start bowing instead, which honestly just sounds like she wants to live out some dumbass Victorian larp more than anything

Things are going back to normal in other countries. We won't see a true care free normal unless we see this virus not come back in big numbers, but we will see a more cautious normal in the relatively near future. You will be able to go outside, go to stores, go to restaurants, get your haircut, go to movies. We are already seeing that in countries further a long than we are. You may need to wear masks, stores will need to limit the amount of people at any one time, but thing will get back to normal but with added precautions. And those added precautions may not happen in a lot of places, they may take place in just cities where it's easier to spread. The new cautious normal won't be that much different than where we were, we'll just be a little more conscious about what we are doing.
