Three long beeps. Sure enough, memory is DDR4 3000, mobo only supports up to DDR4 2666.

I guess it'll be a month to return and another month to get the replacement shipped.

Well Amazon's return process has improved significantly in the last few years. I just dropped it off at the UPS Store, which happens to be like half a mile from home, they scanned a QR code Amazon sent me and UPS packages and sends it at no charge to me, for full refund.

Hopefully if I'm going through UPS directly, it won't take long to ship.

And fortunately, I was able to find a great replacement stick (pair) at 2666MHz within my gift card balance so I don't even need to wait for the refund.
