Board 8 > Anyone interested in deciding Game of the Decade the classic Board 8 way? [UotY]

More like Game of the Decade of the Year.

Naturally we've all mostly matured as a community to the point where User of the Year will never happen again, but I've always enjoyed the format of it and would love to see it used for something more wholesome. I'm willing to organize and run things, but I have a bad track record with starting and finishing projects and I also don't fully remember exactly how the formats of the later rounds played out. I guess I'm looking for input in addition to general enthusiasm with this topic. For those unfamiliar with User of the Year, it was large tournament of multiple rounds with varying formats that pitted users against each other in popularity contests until a sole survivor remained. I'm proposing the same thing, just with games that released from 2010-2019.

Right now I figure that if this were to go on, the 128 games that made the Game of the Decade bracket would be in automatically and we'd have nominations to get us to 220 (or 180) that followed the same criteria as the nomination phase of the current Game of the Decade contest. I see there's also a snubs list on the wiki that could be pulled from as well to help beef things up if needed.

I never hosted a User of the Year or even helped run one. I have no idea how big of a mountain the task is and I'm in the fortunate position of still working full-time at the office during the current pandemic. However, this just seems fun to me and I'm curious if others feel the same way and am willing to try and put this together if people are interested (and maybe even willing to help!).
