Three Houses was probably SFFd. It likely ends up below Awakening in the stats and I don't buy that. Still, Xenoblade looking reeeeal good.

Man, I wish 2enoblade had gotten a more debatable path, because I would have taken it pretty far. Originally had it getting to this match, and only switched because I remembered Arkham City is actually strong itself.

Nah. Xenoblade 2 got what it deserved.

A strong showing now people can retrospectively look back and say it did well but the actual game sucks. Doesn't deserve to go past round 1. ITs Xenoblade 1 that deserves all the success.

There was no SFF and Three Houses did not underperform. Xenoblade is just a god now.

Xenoblade pretty much had to be dragged kicking and screaming to come out in the West at all, and it was dumped at the end of the Wii's life cycle. Sm4sh, among other factors, and a New 3DS port, helped it build on its cult fanbase, and now it's a respectable JRPG series with Nintendo backing.

It released in 2010 in Japan, 2011 in Europe, and 2012 in America. The staggered release probably cost it some initial hype, along with the fact that it was never supposed to release in the US until fans ran a lengthy campaign begging Nintendo to bring it over. It's been growing via word of mouth since.

It was still Japan-exclusive in 2010. It only came to America near the end of the Wii's life cycle. Re-releases on other platforms have helped it find a wider audience. It looked pretty weak in the 2015 games contest, which took place before it saw many of those re-releases.

Game release was scattered due to how inept NoA was. IT was NoE(Nintendo of Europe) that localised the game.

Just when wii needed more games NoA sat on their ass and did shit.

Xenoblade was one of the most acclaimed JRPG games in that gen But Nintendo would rather give us Mediocre games like Skyward Sword and Metroid Other M

8 people scored half points and survived. Former first but still second place JONALEON1, OnMySide, DoctorJimmy133, MasterMoltar, lordjers, Dark_Koopatrol, Tjian and one other only got 4 points but survived.

My favorite thing about Xenoblade's release process is, because NoA washed its hands of the game, NoE ended up localizing it with a bunch of local Brits instead of the same 10 American voices we hear in every game. Was frustrating at the time but ended up being a blessing in disguise.

The game actually released in 2011 in PAL areas and 2012 in the US. And it was a Gamestop exclusive in the states which made the price skyrocket there. Gamestop did its thing and gutted new copies so they could sell them as used and not at MSRP.

So, deep into the Wii's dead years, a staggered localisation and it being very expensive and somewhat rare all factored in. It still got wide critical acclaim and formed a sizeable fanbase online.

Very true, I've loved the British voice actors since the beginning. I can't imagine anything else (good lord, Dunban's Japanese voice is HORRIBLE).

Skyrim 2015 is probably where Witcher 3 is at now. Skyrim 2020 is probably at a level where Xenoblade could beat it.

For the sake of xstats which one do you guys think fell most since 2015, MGSV or Skyrim? Or did they fall equally?

If they fell equally, Dark Souls needs to get 68% today to beat Skyrim.

Although... there is a decent argument for Journey being stronger.

What was needed isn't smashing 80% past all your opponents AKA BOTW or 78% against ME3 and 60-40ing a mainline Mario on a Nintendo biased site.

I mean Skyrim needs a big BIG performance against MK8 tomorrow. Anything less than 60% would be bad. Especially considering SMG2 is well above MK8.

I mean pre contest DArk souls wasn't even in the running. Everyone had Witcher/Skyrim or Witcher/Skyrim being dunked by either SMG2 or Pokemon.
