It really depends on how fun the whole experience was. If it's a really good boss where you're slowly getting down the patterns, making constant progress, YES. If it's a shitty section of a great game that would make me want to quit entirely, then finally.

The second option. I remember the first time I fought Alma in the XBox Ninja Gaiden. I died 51 times against her (no joke I counted) before finally winning.

Theres a challenge in Sonic Unleashed where you have to speedrun a point in the Arid Sands stage with a time limit so strict you basically need superhuman reflexes to make it. After about 100 attempts I randomly clip through a wall and skip the last boost section clearing the challenge with only 5 seconds left. I dont think I could redo that if I wanted too.

On a semi-related note, Sekiro gave me a new appreciation for post kill animations. It feels so good to see your character finish off a tough boss. It's weird seeing the boss just disappear now.
