He decides to attack instead for some dumb and stupid reason, so the main protagonists uses the only card in his hand, a monster card to increase the defense of his only monster on the field and the Duelist lost because of that. I don't remember the episode too well, but for me that was the literal definition of plot armor I've seen in Yugioh for awhile. --- DI MOLTO! Or how that BS when used polymerization on a spell and monster card to lower a monster attack point.
