Current Events > Is it worth me playing the OG Xenogears on PS1?

I tried it a few years back, but i was playing other games at the time and i eventually lost my save file.

I didn't get very far, but I remember the camera being janky and I'm not too crazy about GIANT FIGHTING ROBOTS.

I love jrpgs though, so should i try it again?

Bonus question: If i have GBA, SNES and PS1 - are there any Dragon Quest games apart from VII that i can play in English?

I've been playing RPGs for almost 30 years. Xenogears to this day is still by far the greatest plot I have ever seen in a video game, the game play is rough no doubt but that storyline just blows every other video game out of the water.

Yes, but I heard it has some annoying parts and some grindiness to it. You're gonna wanna grind up your deathblows. I would look up a missables guide too.

To those saying the game has the best story ever, is it good enough for me to get past the giant robots if I was never really into the whole mech stuff like TC?

I'm not into big mech stuff, but I watched most of an LP. I'd say yes. Also the music is phenomenal. Same guy that did Chrono Cross.

The mechs themselves aren't a hugely major focus of the plot, nor do you pilot them all the time. Just in certain areas.
