All great games but the beginning had a lot of level design problems imo. Makes you wonder how great the series couldve been if Sega wasnt so pressured to go 3D back in the day --- I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite user on the Citadel. I know mine is mostly due to nostalgia, but I wouldn't be a Sonic fan if Sonic the hedgehog 2 didn't exist. The amount of times I have played through that one is three to four times as many of any of the other 2-D games.

Sonic 3 and Knuckles is one big game and the best out of the series but between Sonic & Knuckles and Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles is a better game; better level design and better pacing.
