Do you agree that some laws should be broken?

If i recall, conservatives are always the one who say anybody that doesn't follow the law deserves to get thrown in jail..and now that they're breaking the stay at home order, what does that tell you?

exactly what it means. conservatives can break any law they wish is deemed "unreasonable" because they feel THEY make the laws and any law passed by government is subject to their approval..

so if that's how it is, why can't liberals do the same if roe v wade is overturned or weed?

Their pov is the government is infringing on their freedom to assemble, to work, and go outside. Obviously there is a very good reason for it, but let's not misrepresent people alright?

Generally speaking, yes its ok to break certain laws. For example, abolitionists breaking the law was a good thing. Breaking it to spread a virus is obviously terrible and immoral, though.

These are the same people who don't understand why Kaepernick took a knee.
These are the same people who think you should get life in prison for smoking one joint.
These are the same people who think it's ok for the police to choke a non-aggressive detainee to death.

Don't defend this shit. They don't care about the freedom to assemble so long as their lives continue as usual. They don't even care about other people's rights to work or life, they just care that their routine isn't upset.

The hypocrisy is not the issue. Don't criticize these actions for not adhering to a principle you think is stupid. Criticize them because they're stupid on their own merits.

there is no law requiring people to stay inside. We are largely doing this as an act of voluntary precaution.

You understand how little progress we've made when something like this happens. We are barely past tribal society. "This rule not good for our tribe". Our leader good leader, no do bad.

Seriously, it's like I always tell my wife. We have a thin veneer of society slapped over us. It doesn't take very much to get it to chip off.

One day, like a thousand years from now, people will look back at this time and not believe what day to day life would have been like. Just like we can't believe how it was for people in the dark ages.

I have a pretty far liberal bias but I have to admit it's funny when all my conservative friends are silent on our governors very restrictive lockdown measures but then post things about Michigan or Virginia protesters being in the right.
