3. In addition to controlling the riot, law enforcement should be cooking and handing out food to rioters

We don't have enough food or personnel for that.

We throw enough food away in this country every day to feed several smaller countries. They dont give it away because distribution costs money

Farmers are literally plowing over perfectly good crops because they have no demand for them

even during normal times grocery stores throw away a ton of food because it doesnt look perfect, especially produce. Carrots have to look exactly the way Americans picture them.

most people dont even know carrots come in colors besides orange

I hope you understand that most of America appreciates and lauds you for your service. Because it actually is service in these times. I actually tip my cashiers and grocery workers.

You are the backbone of America and I wish you were compensated for all you've done

I understand the sentiment and appreciate the thanks for service workers.

The problem is, that is literally "thoughts and prayers" for us. Once this pandemic is over, we'll be tossed aside and stepped all over again. Nobody will actually fight for us, it's easier for society if we take our shit pay and lack of healthcare without question.

I hope y'all will change your ways once this is over, but judging by history I'm not convinced

National guard isn't law enforcement.

And yes, people should be rioting about the economy. People like Blue_Dream87, that is.

I don't believe now is the time to riot. While I agree it's an optimal time to hold leverage, the optics will be *horrendous*. I'd also like to work, and see myself providing food during a crisis as doing my part for humanity.
