That's like expecting groundbreaking next level storytelling in Transfomers movies. The muted boss fights are one of the reasons I could never get into Majora's Mask.

The draw of the game was the enormous world. They probably didnt want long dungeons to take you out of that world for long periods of time.

The "divine beasts" should have been actual living behemoths that you climbed up SOTC style and then you fight the demon at the top.

In any event, that's a big step down from Ocarina of Time. And, yes, I stopped playing after the second boss. And, yes, I stopped playing after the second boss. I simply wasn't having fun. There's 4 dungeon bosses, and 3 overworld bosses, 2 of them have several variations.
