You don't declare your specialization until junior year so sophomore year is taking all these bullshit pre-req classes. I know I don't want to do accounting, don't make me fucking take financial accounting, it's useless if I'm not CPA. I have to take 6 more credits of fucking accounting plus a "business communications" class, in other words 3 hours a week of "use commas dumbass" and working with incompetent team members on group projects. I fucking dread it. All in all there's a semester in a half of pure bullshit to trudge through.

i know how you feel

i majored in IT because my employer would pay for the tuition and while it pays well its boring af and the program itself was a draining sausagefest

major in a subject youre passionate about

if you are just looking for a career to pay the bills i suggest trade school, you can make great money with full benefits as an electrician or plumber etc and you get paid to learn on the job as an apprentice
