Crazy cause I can't fix the problem.

Like it stopped working for no reason and won't reconnect no matter what I do.

The thing is I don't even really need to my TV to have internet. My computer is working fine and it's connected to my TV. But the fact that I can't get it working again is so annoying.

Happened to my TV a long time ago. Factory resetting didn't fix it. Said fuck this and just stopped trying.

At this point I have restarted my TV, router, and modem like 10+ each. There really aren't any other options to try.

Yeah I got that issue too. Or at least it seems to be disconnected for most of the time. They're just not reliable for whatever reason.

Can you install any updates from a flash drive? I had to do that to my one Sony TV to get it to connect once.

Cat5 cable.

Though I just connected with wifi to see what would happen. It connects but says no internet.

Done that multiple times.
I have powered down, and unplugged all cables from everything several times. Nothing works.

Some stuff was running slow earlier today but besides that I have had no issues. The internet itself is working fine.

Could be that the wifi card in the tv is on it's way out.

Some smart phones or tablets can mirror their screen using a USB cable connection. Perhaps you can still use the t.v for watching, but streaming from your phone?

That happened to my TV a few weeks ago after the power went out for 10 seconds. The solution is something I would never think of.

Change the date and time. For some reason it jumped years into the future and apparently that messes with the wifi. I don't know why the time is connected to wifi, but changing that back to the actual time worked for me and a bunch of others I found from Google searching.

Update

My 360 also won't connect to the internet via wired connection from the router.
My computer is wired to the router and is still connecting no problem.
My TV won't connect via ethernet or wifi, but my phone still connects to the wifi no problem.

Like is it possible my ISP is blocking internet from certain devices? I don't even think they could do that since I am using my own modem and router but I am out of ideas.

Thats probably a configuration issue then. If it connected to the wifi then you just have a network problem.

Like is it getting an actual address from dhcp or do you need to manually specify one.

Also make sure that cable isnt messed up. Either swap it with another one or use it to connect another device if there isnt another cable you can use.

I have tried mulitple cables at this point.

Not sure how to check the addresses or assign them in my router.

Youre done. If you also swapped the cables thats everything.

Sorry. Since Im assuming this to load some app like netflix or hulu why dont you try running it from another device.

My dvd players even have that stuff on them.

I'm just trying to control apps with my TV remote instead of dragging things from my PC monitor with my tiny wireless keyboard/mouse!

Now I'm more annoyed with my 360 not connecting.

Holy shit, my TV actually connected doing that. What does that mean? I have no idea! But at least we know it is capable of using the internet still.

Maybe my router is just weirdly fucked somehow.

You've bypassed the router in post #23.
It's something in the modem, or the ISP just being dicks.

Does your tv have a web browser? If it says "no internet, lol" but the browser works, that means it can connect on port 80 and probably 8080.

There is no broswer, but when I connect the TV via wifi there is a little window that says "Connected to wifi, no internet."

Mess around in the advanced settings, and change the DNS to 8.8.8.8. Let's see what happens.

I changed my the ip to end in 105 instead of 100 (the default) and changed the DNS to what is on my computer and....IT WORKED!!!

Now I just gotta figure out my 360, though I feel like I can probably do the same thing.

Did the same thing for my 360. Connected and let me sign in to Live, but i said I might need to change some NAT setting for online play, but I don't play online so no big deal there.

Unless there's something weird going on, IP addresses should be set to 'dynamic'. You don't want the same IP on two things.
