About Celeste vs Rayman, there's a theory me and a few people on Discord had. I think it's possible Celeste may have been pegged by some of the casuals as a more "Undertale-like" game. It's a game that has a female protagonist and its plot is heavily related to depression and feelings.

I also think the match pic didn't help in that regard. In the pic, it looks like the protagonist of the game, Madeline, is praying or something like that. While in the Rayman one, it looks like he is in the proccess of killing something. So Rayman looks like the "manly" videogame character, while Madeline might have been pegged as the "SJW" one. I've actually seen two people in the board bashing the game while implying it was because of that.

It's a long shot, and I have no idea how to measure how much it influenced the match, but it might have. It's kind of dumb, because Celeste is actually an amazing platformer aimed at experienced gamers, but the hate for Undertale is also pretty dumb so... yeah.

The other point is that I feel we (myself included) just underestimated Rayman. I was making jokes everywhere about how the Rayman franchise shouldn't even be alive, but I've seen a lot of people, even in the Celeste subreddit, saying they had a lot of respect for it. Maybe it's just a solid platformer and, when facing another platformer, it's not that obvious which game is the best one.

I'm kinda stunned anyone went under 80% for BOTW after Halo: Reach struggled against Life is Strange, which we know is really weak. I didn't think Halo: Reach would beat The Outer Worlds by any significant margin.

for what it's worth, using the 2015 X-Stats for Life Is Strange (which are tainted by Undertale, so take it with a grain of salt, there's only so accurate those are going to be), BOTW would get like 45% on OoT, which would basically put it equal with FFVII.

I do think the Final Fantasy name vs. the Dragon Age name could have made the difference between winning and losing in those close matches

(as well as FFVIIR's release the day before FFXV vs. Hollow Knight)

I think Persona 5 would beat DQXI easily. I think the gap between P3 and P5 is much bigger than the gap between DQ8 and DQ11.

Fallout 4 looked good based on early results since it immediately followed up on Bastion's upset, but 70% on VVVVVV isn't that good of a performance after we saw all the 75-80%+ results. ME2 could lose in the division finals, but I was never worried about it losing to FO4.
