Yea, you're right. Gathering in crowds and potentially spreading an infectious disease that is killing people worldwide is definitely the answer. None of what you said will matter if everyone is sick or dead. Especially with America's "go to work when sick" culture.

All debts are forgiven for the next three months in most cities.

For example...

The landlord is not getting his money and he can't kick anyone out for 3 months.

The bank is not getting their mortgage or cay payment money and can't repossess your home or car..

Utilities such as electricity, water and internet are the same...they don't get paid either due to debt forgiveness being part of the stimulus package.

Wanting them to stop gathering in groups during a worldwide pandemic is trivializing things? I'd rather them be inside and safe. I get what you're trying to say, but starving won't matter when Corona is killing them. All they're doing is increasing the chances of death. They're afraid to starve, but not of COVID? The latter is far more serious and more likely to kill them right now. I'm not laughing at them. I'm frustrated that they're being stupid and forming mass crowds at a time like this, only prolonging this shut down and potentially contributing to more deaths. If they get sick and are in the hospital they'll be in the same boat you're describing, only this time they'll be closer to death.

I don't think hardly anyone is handing out actual debt forgiveness, they're just not allowed to take legal action about missing payments for a couple months. Don't get it wrong, they're not doing anyone any favors throughout this ordeal. Debts are just being allowed to accumulate; they're not going away.

Where are you getting this from? Are you talking about Canada? Because none of that is true in the US except no evictions.

This is what people need to protest for. Ending the shutdown won't get most of those newly unemployed people back to work. We should also be fighting for single payer healthcare and sick leave since the main reason most people worked when sick anyways was they couldn't afford it. Going back to the system we had before this is awful send can't even be called a bandage on the festering wound.

Banks are going to be going belly-up because they ain't ever getting paid and it's gonna be a lot like 2009 where they are stuck with a bunch of foreclosed houses and repossessed cars that they can't get the money out of.

And they can't work if they're sick. If their concern is working to pay bills and eat, then fighting for better conditions in the event of getting sick makes more sense than fighting simply to work, especially while a highly contagious and deadly virus is currently active. You can find ways to justify this all you want and try to defend them by saying "they just wanna work like responsible people!"...what they're doing is stupid and only contributes to prolonging this shut down. If their concern is all about bills and food like you claim, then this pandemic should have shown them that our current work culture needs a drastic overhaul.

I cant understand the thought process that leads to someone thinking the solution to this problem is to just go back to work rather than have a government that prevents these economic issues from happening.

I understand their desires, at least the ones doing this because they need money. I empathize with them, this sucks and I wish there was a better way. I get all of that. But this isn't going to change anything other than possibly spread the virus. Start and online petition, that has just as much effect as a protest. Neither will end this sadly, but you are doing the same thing but safer.

Sadly we all have to make personal sacrifices, not just them. It sucks, it really really sucks, but it's something everyone is going through. Spend the money you get from the government wisely and hope by May we slowly open up certain jobs or hope we end up getting a monthly stimulus check that will help us day to day.

Ok? So my topic is about the people who made it a mess. This doesnt change anything. You are protesting to end the lockdown in place due to an infectious disease but you wear a mask because you know the deadly disease is still a serious concern. Youre just prolonging that concern. I dont care if it started in their cars. There are still mask wearing people in the mobs outside of cars.
