How much is the device he is posting from worth?

The monthly ISP cost?

Why has he been out of work for a month? What led to it? What has he tried since then?

What does he spend his money on?

Did he file appropriately? Has he asked for outside help and tried odd jobs?

Did you post a similar questionnaire for the airlines and other companies that already got multimillion bailouts?

Most American are in this situation.
70% of Americans have <$1000 in savings, 45% have nothing saved.

Sure

But companies should and do handle money differently than a singular person.

Bull fucking shit.

If no one bats an eye that a corporation needs a bail out 1 month into a pandemic neither should individuals.

Companies are made up of individuals. If that company goes under, all the tens of thousands of individuals working for that company lose their jobs.

I do preach it and think they should, but I'm not keen on sending millions to the unemployment line either.

Hard for individuals to be fiscally responsible when they can't find a job.

of course they do. people buy groceries, companies buy back their own stock. People pay rent, companies pay for advertising. people go to school, companies just spend money to lower wages. Same difference ;)

Likely as little as $30/month on a payment plan, perhaps nothing if it's within two years old.

$100? I'm sure that cutting off his main method of accessing job applications, family, and news during a FUCKING PANDEMIC where we're limiting our time outside is a fantastic idea though.

Likely laid off due to circumstances beyond his control (the pandemic). Probably applying to more jobs, but no one is hiring.

Probably on baby food.

Odd jobs that would put him in contact with lots of different people... during a pandemic... when he has an infant at home. You people really don't think, do you?

Not to mention all the jackasses that would ask, "Why can't they just go to the library or McDonald's?" before the pandemic. Anyone who did rely on public wifi is pretty well fucked right now.

Internet access needs to be a utility at this point.

Nobody needs to point it out. I can read just fine. If he has no money after being jobless for one month he obviously was barely making ends meet. Sounds like he wasn't ready for a kid in the first place.

Yea i acknowledged that and agreed with another guy earlier in topic when he pointed that out. But you did totally ignore my response, unless I missed it. The overall point was we have to change our lifestyles for awhile, singling me out as some evil fuck when im searching for broader answers then "rich must maintain everyones standard of living" is dishonest to me.
