Theyre willing to use viruses or whatever to stop the heroes but what do they expect to do after they kill them? They cant just revert back to normal people. Chances are theyre stuck that way.

Birkin was shot a lot. It was either take a chance with the G-Virus or just die.

Let's break it down actually.

• RE1 and RE3 didn't have any crazy mutations.
• RE2, as mentioned, had Birkin who had a good reason for it.
• Code Veronica had Alexia; I think there's a good chance she actually could have controlled her mutation and reverted back to normal, but there's also a good chance she just didn't give a fuck since she was out of her mind.
• RE4's bosses were brainwashed and mind-controlled by Saddler, so they didn't care if they couldn't change back. Krauser seemed to be in control of his arm mutating, so he could probably change it back. Saddler grew tentacle dicks and then retracted them, so he could probably do the same with the legs growing out of his head.
• RE5 someone else will have to do.
• RE6's T-Rex dude was accidentally infected.

the monster guy in re5 makes no sense and he starts screaming about having an extreme makeover after he does it. Wesker is incredibly out of character in that game and does it for no reason too.

the dude in re6 wasnt injected by accident, he gets shot with it by that stupid fake ada character

Oh, I forgot about Steve. He was able to turn back into a person and that was without fifteen years of cryofreeze, so Alexia almost certainly could.

Sorry, I meant more that he didn't do it to himself.

I also forgot to mention RE7, but the mutations in that game were pretty clearly not out of choice.

I thought it was because she wanted her body to perfectly adapt to the virus, so she was cryogenically sealed for what...10 years?

Kinda like with Jill except she developed antibodies and it didn't take years.

to be fair most RE villains are either about to die , feel like they could control it or are utterly insane

it's not like Dragon Age 2 where mages just run up to you and slit their wrists or turn into demons

Manuela in Darkside Chronicles could also control herself. The Veronica virus is legit one of if not the most successful controllable virus in the series. I believe Pier's strain in RE6 and Nanan Yoshihara from the marhawa desire manga had it too.
