I went out to my car to get something in the middle of the night, and I saw him parked behind me (I parked on the street). His window was down, he was wearing a mask and he was just ZZZZZZZing away.

I didn't bother to wake him, he's doing no harm. I figure he's probably homeless and living out of his car, but didn't want to park in a big parking lot since no stores are open 24/7 anymore (the local Walmart is a big spot for people to spend the night, usually). It would suck to be homeless right now, I've been there and relied a lot on Walmarts and similar places.

I slept in my car for two weeks when my ex and I broke up and it fucking sucked and was the most nerve wracking shit ever. And I had to pee in Gatorade bottles

That's really shitty. It's a tough time for alot of folks right now. Not really any work to pick yourself up by your bootstraps either.

doubt he's homeless, maybe getting tired of being stuck at home with his family all day, and this is the only peace he can get. Either way, why would someone ever even consider bothering someone sleeping in their car? It's not your business

Not really. We'll still be feeling the effects of this long after those dollars are spent.

I didn't think about it much, it's just unusual because I live in a quiet neighborhood and he was literally parked right behind me so I couldn't help but take notice as I walked out there. I wouldn't have even looked twice until I saw the figure hunched over in the driver's seat, so I wanted to investigate

Yeah, that sounds familiar. I started drinking heavily, so I used both water and Gatorade bottles and empty fifths of Aristocrat vodka, ugh

I was still working too, so I'd wake up, walk into the nearby Walmart and wash my hair and face in the bathroom sink. Shit fucking suuuuuucked. Luckily I saved up enough money to put down a deposit and rent on a room for rent so I got out of it, but I'll never forget that experience

Could also be a medical professional working with covid patients and trying to avoid going home to spread it to their family. I know a few neighbours loaned their travel trailers to doctors in the neighbourhood to quarantine themselves while off shift.
