But what many don't know is that hate crimes against Chinese and all South East Asian descent has spiked all across the world, resulting in thousands of Violent verbal and physical altercations, and some have even resulted in death. Trump labeled the virus as the "Chinese Virus," and refuses to call it otherwise, implying that China is to blame for all of this. How has this affected you? Do you think it does more harm than good and can be considered racist? But both suck either way. The latter is too broad in scope. And it's a problem, because the term not only discrminates against China person but just about ANY Chinese person, even those not from China, and to some stupid people, even anyone who looks remotely Chinese (Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean, Thai etc.) . Also most China people don't go to wildlife markets and drink batsoup. It's just such a small minority. I do think this is basically going the same downward spiral as post 9-11 days when middle eastern, muslims and south asians were attacked and murdered by a spike in hate crimes after. --- Less is more.
