Dennis was a cool guy.

That statement is so true.
The first time I met him was a local tittie bar, but then he became one of my regulars at the Casino I worked at. He was always so nice, thankful, and complementing, which in that environment was rare.

I was once walking through a crosswalk to a Phish show, and a Cadillac honked at me...I wasn't sure why, it turns out it was him saying hi!
He was just that kind of guy.

Today there are 162 cases of the Coronavirus in my county, with 5 recorded deaths.
Today, those are no longer just numbers.

Well, I've lost a lot, so this is not my first rodeo, but ya, this does hit close to home.

I remember he used to get pretty faded sometimes, when his daughter was with him, making sure, in a good way, that he stayed alright. It was kinda funny actually.

Shit man, I'm sorry. I saw the number of our deceased jumped from 1 to 5, didn't think much of it considering that's still a low number. This is just a reminder that not having many deaths doesn't mean it doesn't effect those who knew them. As you said, they aren't just numbers.

Storytime: So, I worked with a manager who likes to make people miserable. He was playing a slot, on like a Monday night. He had a crowd around him, and everyone was laughing and having fun. My Manager who is a total wet rage, had security go over and tell him to tone it down. It was a complete buzz kill for everyone there. She is a bitch, and will probably make it through this because, only the good die young.
~I tell that story though, to say, that what was said was really true. He as the type that wanted the people around him to be happy.

I feel bad for his brother and especially his children.
