The thing is the story ties alot with worldbuiding, overall while it is basic (compared real unique storytelling like planescape or disco elysium) it still at least above average for me, with tons of part that adds up and become one of my favorite series ever. The worldbuilding is legit great. Basically there isn't really anything like this in video game. The closest comparison i can draw is actually cosmere novels by Sanderson.
