It's a shame because David Yost is actually a pretty cool guy from what I hear.

IIRC though, I thought it was just the crew that harassed him and his actual castmates were fine. I mean, he's still going to conventions with them and everything.

it was he crew who were doing the harassing
in fact david yost is still good friends with amy jo johnson and walter jones (kimberly and jason)
he didnt get along with johnny yong bosch but by all accounts this was completely davids fault and the 2 buried the hatchet and even made a film together

anyway only 5 rangers have been in over 100 episodes

and had amy jo johnson decided not to quit she probably would have made it all the way to power rangers turbo due to her being the most popular female ranger
there is a reason she was the only gone who got a decent send off. they had to drag her leaving out as long as possible to keep her around which is why her leaving the team required a 9 episode story arc where as characters like aisha has a 30 second scene saying they were leaving

It wasn't the actors if I recalled, it the crew that gave him shit for being gay. He said the whole cast was cool with him.

Speaking of Amy Jo Johnson, fun fact: the reason she decided to leave the series was due to a stunt during the filming of the MMPR Movie that nearly fatally injured her, on top of the low pay all the actors and actresses were receiving at the time.

anyway fun fact, walter jones is missing one of his fingers and so power rangers had to constantly try to hide it throughout its run so his missing hand finger hand is always obscured by something or just off camera

they messed up and let it be shown twice though

i thought she left because she wanted a serious acting career and felt that being the pink ranger was going to prevent that from happening
which is why she didnt really embrace her legacy until after she found success in the show flashpoint
after that she seemed way more open to talking about her time as the pink ranger when she used to avoid the subject all together

she still doesnt go to conventions though but thats due to a bad experience with a stalker

That actually makes a lot of sense as well. Last thing you want to happen to your acting career is being typecasted.

everyone else was in their early 20s but his actor was 19
in season 2 only adam was an actual teenager with attitude as johnny yong bosch was cast when he had just turned 18 and rocky and aisha were both in their 20s

the current super sentai season has the 2nd ever female green ranger
and this isnt a weird season like the other green female ranger was in where there were like 20 rangers.

technically there were 3 female green rangers but the other one was only in a special
this means that if you count the brief female red ranger in shinkenger that every color but black has had a girl wear it

She goes to conventions, just probably not as often as the others. She was at New York Comic Con last year, but she was separated from the rest of the Rangers, and you had to reserve a spot to even interact with her so the line was super long. I didn't even catch a glimpse of her. Maybe she makes sure she has that kind of a buffer for the reasons you've listed. I've seen her promote other cons every now and then on her twitter.

the female villain of that season also starred in reign

so there have been a few successful former power rangers in the entertainment industry

after he casting they started hiring actresses with leaner more athletic builds to play the yellow ranger
because that the time where sentai yellow rangers were still usually men while power ranger switched the genders
and thanks to the lost galaxy ranger being very well endowed even kids started to notice the size difference when she transformed

now a days even in sentai the yellow ranger is usually a girl and they dont change genders in between shows anymore

aisha the yellow ranger used to have a youtube channel and she interviewed lots of old power ranger actors on it and once even interviewed the cast of zyuranger the sentai series mighty morphin was based on.

Zordon (Giant Head Ranger)

Out of all of them, I found Rocky to be the least friendly and seemed to only care about selling his merch

Everyone else was super nice and I wish I could talk to them for longer, but it would have been inappropriate
