Absolutely.

I have nothing but respect for these guys, especially right now. Literally putting their health and potentially life on the line to make sure people can get food.

And the ones near me have all managed to maintain their usual cheery disposition to boot. Just being there would have been enough but these guys are literally helping people cope through providing a sliver of the normal we used to know.

Yeah, a job where they're literally more at risk than anybody else in the country.

And they STILL cant afford basic living conditions.

No one is stopping them from quitting. They can quit if they don't like it.

They're working there because they need to.

I'm so essential that I'm getting a bonus of not even a week's worth of pay. I'm not holding my breath of a reward down the line. Tools are essential, but they can still replace you with other tools. They don't give a fuck about us.

This disaster should flip the entire world upside down and lead to widespread changes across every aspect of society, but instead we'll probably just forget about everything and go back to "normal".

This right here. They gave us $2 an hour raises while this is going on, which comes out to like an extra 80 bucks for me. Which isnt bad, but given the circumstances, I do believe I deserve more (or like a big bonus check, an extra week vacation, something).

That same rhetoric wouldn't even be applicable without covid-19.

It's a very sheltered view and far from accurate.

Everyone needs to work and it's ridiculous to suggest that the only thing people can do when they have issues is leave. It's libertarian bullshit that companies should be allowed to exploit their workers as long as the workers are desperate enough to accept the exploitation.

I guess people should move to another state/country rather than vote or protest also?

Capitalists: "These people don't deserve living wages."

Capitalists during a crisis: "These people are vital to the function of our society. Me? I'm staying home. I still deserve all the profits though and let's cut their wages some more. *twirls mustache*"

Your heart is in the right pace but it shouldn't have taken something THIS bad for those people to get a little god damn credit for what they do.

Again this is not directed at TC directly as much as it is all these people showing their "appreciation" on social media now that it's cool and will go back to not giving a fuck once things go back to being semi-normal.

Yeah, if you have issues with your company you should leave. It's that simple.

Companies have been exploiting employees since the beginning of time. It's human nature. If you don't like it vote for politicians that will fight for you.

You're cute in thinking they have the luxury to protest. That's not how the real world works, buddy. Especially when there are 6.6 mil jobless Americans happily waiting to take your lowly paid job.

You're not exactly disagreeing with me.

But why should I vote? Shouldn't I just move if I disagree with something?

The only thing this crisis has done is reconfirm that capitalists believe exploitation of people is an a-okay way to run a country. And they will refuse to let go of their ability, freedom, and desire to exploit others even if it kills them.
