I nice ending to the series IMHO. Since I'm coming at this 8 years after the game originally came out I have no idea what the original ending was that everyone hated. I ended up going with the Synthesis ending as that fit the way I played my shepard always trying to save both organics and synthetics.

I enjoy the changes to the morality system. I felt I could more freely pick Paragon and Renegade choices as I saw fit for the situation without being locked out of something later on or locked out of a trophy. I was about 80% Paragon and 20% Rengade when I basically was 100% one or the other in the first two games.

The Platinum is a single 100% playthrough on Insanity mode with an imported character (or 2 playthroughs if you're somehow playing this without an imported character). There's a few combat trophies like defeating 5000 enemies and killing various amount of enemies with various abilities and raising weapons to level 10, but other than that you're pretty much going to do everything just by completing all the main missions and sidequests. Although I did play the web browser game to boost my galactic readiness up without having to play the multiplayer.

Some of the trophies gave you the choice of doing them in single player or multiplayer and I basically never touched the multiplayer. Everything was done in single player and I don't really see a reason to.

I also played through all the DLCs and got their trophies as well as it just wouldn't seem complete without that.

Sad that it seems Andromeda is universally panned, but at least it's not a game with ol Shep Shep so I won't feel too bad about that if I ever play it.

The multiplayer was actually really fun back when it was super active. No idea if people are still at it now.

I've been one trophy away from the ME2 Platinum for several years now

just need to work up the courage to do an Insanity run

grats

i will never attempt this myself because i played this series entirely for roleplaying purposes and have almost no idea of how the combat works despite multiple playthroughs of 2 & 3. so that Insanity trophy is pretty much an impossibility for me.

although i think i've heard that as far as shooters go, ME is relatively easier?????

ME2 was kinda tough, but ME3 is only tough early on and you can eventually overpower everyone especially if you have the DLC weapons and just tank with a Sentinel

also the checkpointing is typically very generous

How much online/multiplayer stuff did you have to do?

I have ME3 on PS3 but not sure if platinum is even realistically achievable?

Well done to Advokaiser for finishing 104 places above me in the 2018 CBX Guru Contest!

Insanity on ME2 is okay until the main story missions against the Collectors, those are tough as nails. I never hated my companions from a combat perspective until doing an Insanity run, then you realize how worthless they are.

How paralyzingly dull, boring and tedious!

If you play the galaxy at war web browser game on the N7 website to raised your Galactic Readiness you don't have to play multiplayer at all
