I had a dandelion in my New Leaf town and my friend was screaming at me that it was a weed, I told him that I thought it was pretty and he plucked it right in front of me.

I assume it means that when you're gardening something, its a weed if it decides to enter your garden without your permission.
Sorta like how you have a yard and there's a lot of grass but suddenly other plants pop out of nowhere. I don't think they mean harm, they just appear without your consent and then won't leave until you kill them. Like when family comes over. ... Copied to Clipboard!

To be fair, the reason they don't want those plants is because they eat up nutrients in the soil intended for the crop being grown.
Now, when it comes to lawns, yeah...that whole thing is a vanity project and I don't understand the concept of "weeds" in that regard. --- Number of Mega Cookies given: (::::) 29 *Tips top hat, adjusts monocle, and walks away with a cane.* And yes, that IS Mr. Peanut laying unconscious on the curb ...
