How well does a scarf protect against covid?

In many cases the scarf is better; its thicker. I mean you can depending on the material, its thicker, the President said.

I mean if we are working from the assumption that a mask's primary purpose is the prevention of particle spread from the infected to others... it might be of some use.

You would need a thick as hell wool scarf to block enough of the virus bearing particles, in order for it to be effective. And aren't you Americans coming up on summer? Good luck sweating your faces off.

A med or some PhD guy was on TV and said that they wasn't a %100 but they were better than nothing or using your hand or sleeve.
