linearity wasn't bad until XIII made it bad.

FFX was ridiculously linear and people love that game

Look at what they tried to do with eternal darkness, crowd fund and then chop it into pieces to sell it to you lol. So happy that shit failed, hope this fails. They remade ff4 on ds with all the original content and added cut scenes, 3d graphics to it and it's a pretty lengthy game. I'd of gone for that kinda remake for 6 and 7. This is all bullshit excuses to make more money.

i dont understand how those quotes about linearity contradict the idea that the game has a lot of content. a game can be completely linear but still take 100 hours to complete, thus contains a lot of content.

Did people not see all the DLC FF15 got? This is heading the same direction but we will get the KH treatment where they release a random version in between that will only have said content making the original game useless and having to buy that specific version to access it.

Your argument isn't really making sense. A game can be linear and still have a lot of content, they are not mutually exclusive ideas.

Hell the original FF7 was a pretty linear experience for the most part.
