even with games i love, i used to play them all of the time to feed that nostalgia. ocarina of time, mario 64, etc these were games i would return to every few years for a full play through.
and even newer games i used to give games an immediate second play through if it hooked in to me enough, especially if it had new game+ or something. but now i have absolutely zero desire to play games that ive already played. sometimes i think ill want to play an older game ive beaten, but then lose interest super fast. i seem to only want to play games nowadays if its a new experience, which sucks because my enjoyment and interest in games is still way up there so this makes my hobby quite a bit more expensive than it used to be. recent exception: i played through doom eternal on nightmare after beating it on normal, but this is super rare for me these days --- PSN: SUPER_KITTY_JAM | FC: SW-2262-4005-7054 | Steam: SUPER_PO0PER ... I feel like I just don't have the mental energy for them anymore. I'll do a quick game of overwatch or something, but I'm not going to invest in a long campaign.

I'll still replay shorter games no problem but it's really really hard for me to justify replaying a 50+ hour game because that's a big time commitment (usually; right now it's a lot more doable for me than it has been for a few years) that I could spend doing other things
