So I made my initial claim, but I realize I made a small error the other day on it, can I simply let it fall through without doing the first weekly certification to fix it so I can put in another claim later?

I worked for UI tax in the past, employers who pay the unemployment tax into the state's funds and not the benefits to claimants. I'd imagine the answer is yes, but as much as you'd probably hate to do this, call their 800-number call center or send them an e-mail inquiry. They may be able to fix the initial claim without the hassle. Every state will be different too.

Oh shit...they may see that 1 small error as fraud and take away your entire UI benefits. You may want to call them ASAP and explain.
