Do you know any Trumpeters who are so prideful that they still believe COVID-19 will not kill many more people? Do they believe the death estimations of the experts?

A lot of right wing people were trying to downplay everything a week or two ago on my FB. Soon they will probably have to feel that feeling they like to avoid so much: the feeling of being wrong.

Are they already humble enough to believe Trump, or do they not even trust him anymore?

You already know damn well they aren't going to wise up. How many times has Trump gone back on what he said, only for his fans to change gears without a hint of shame?

They'll just blame Dems of "holding Trump back" or pretend he was the first one who tried to warn us.

He can do no wrong, or at least no significant wrong.

Even when he both sides for literal Nazis his fans at the worst were like "Oh, Trump didn't do so well that time", instead of actually worried about his actions.

To agreeing with him opening up the economy by Easter, saying that it's the right thing to do and going into in depth explanations about it

To agreeing with him that extending distancing guidelines to April 30th is the right thing to do

Basically they'll agree with him no matter how much he flip flops because they're mentally incapable of thinking for themselves.

Bullshit. It's a nastier strain of the flu. People are being lit on fire by gas lighting. These precautions are being done because nobody wants to get sued. I work in retail and I've had this confirmed by superiors. All it takes is one person in a million to sue and even if it's a joke case, the "perception" is all that matters. Companies say "Wow, that company did this or that! We better do it too or we're gonna look bad!"

As for anti-social distancing, which 90% of people I've meet joke about more than anything else, except uhinged and unreasonable people (I know individuals in this regard) it's common sense and to be fair, unless you're in a crowded place already, most people don't stand withing 6 feet of another, most people don't realize how close that is.

Fear begets fear, that's what it is. Of course the virus is real but if half the population gets laid off, that could take years to fix.

Its highly doubtful any of them have cognitive dissonance. The chances are minuscule at best.

Ive yet to see a single trump supporter exhibit anything remotely close to cognitive dissonance and thats because theres no conflict between their beliefs, thoughts, or behaviors.

Not sure why this is CEs new buzzword but lets mock supporters in an accurate way. Theres certainly no shortage of material to do so with.

I've noticed people on my feed call it harmless, or post things that imply that they had no clue that a lot of people hadn't been tested at that point... and then shut up days later. I wouldn't expect them to come out days later and apologize to actually prove that they had changed their mind.
