Is its till Acer?
I'm looking to get a new one for $500 or less.
The bottom corner of the screen has been coming apart, and been duct taped for the past 2 years.
And now the port for the plug is barely detecting when its plugged in, I have to play with it alot to get it to charge.
And I got a new ac adpater and same problem.
Got this laptop 3 years ago, it was this one.

What do you use your laptop for?

Honestly with your stimulus check coming you might be better off getting an iPad if it's just for web use/Youtube.

I had an asus before this, I could give them another shot. Tho half the screen started glitchin out near the end.
I can't do tablets man, I'm 35 and too used to laptops.
I want one for internet, videos, mostly older gaming (emulation), I like a good amount of space since I have games usually, alooot of music, vids (Tho I have quite a few backup hdds now) ,video editing, etc.

I bought a refurbed MacBook Air a few years back just for Youtube/browsing on the couch and it still runs like butter to this day.

They're a little more than $500, but like I said with your Trumpbucks it's only gonna be like $700 or so

Asus has always been the most reliable brand for me

Dell laptops have always had shoddy keyboards, and HPs have a nasty overheating problem

For lower price ranges, you could also look into refurbished ThinkPads

I have an ASUS from 2012 and its still works fine.

I had a compaq back in 2010 (they still make those?) and it refused to boot unless i overheat it, no kidding

Me and my brother have been using Asus ROG laptops for almost a decade and never had any problems. Only time we switched them out was cause the hardware was getting outdated.

IDK, but the Lenovo Flex 14 I bought last year was one helluva bang for buck. All for a low price of $671 CAD.

Nearly a 10/10 except for that battery life.

It got bought out by HP, then discontinued a few years later.

That one's not bad, but you get a lot better than an MX 250 at that price range.

I've had good luck with Asus. They used to be rated more reliable than MacBooks but I don't know how they are now.
