I thought I read that Amazon will only send out items that are "necessary". Is this true..? I haven't used it in months.

if you try to order something like a video game, it won't come for like 3 weeks. right now they are only shipping stuff needed for the virus.

It's the items coming into the warehouses that have to be necessary items. Not the ones going out. Though the policy really should be everything in or out needs to be high priority items only.

Depends on the item. Also they are tacking on 1-2 extra days on shipment but most of the time it still comes one or two days after ordering (prime). Blurays, hair dyes, and various storage boxes all came quickly.
Some items they back date it fairly large but then it ends up coming in a few days. I ordered a wet tile saw which said wouldn't arrive until mid-april, but I ended up receiving it 3-4 days after ordering it. I also ordered another item that said it was coming Apr 20-something, but then I get the shipment notification a few days later and its coming in a few days. I guess it also depends on if you have a warehouse close by. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I switched to eBay, shipping times are way too long on most things. Rather not gamble too much on Amazon right now tbh.
