We didn't do anything crazy for it, not a whole Thanksgiving meal, but it was still really nice to have a leisurely day cooking. We have pork ribs, steaks, goat cubes and a duck still waiting in the freezer.

One of the best things about turkey is now we have a gallon of gravy.

Eh, Turkey is a meat that is only good fresh out of the oven. After even a day or 2 it starts to change flavor to one i don't like.

I live with two people who are (and one who is 30). They picked the flowers and lit the candle because they are cute.

It's definitely best right out of the oven, but I usually get at least a few solid days of leftovers out of it. Sandwiches and all. There are four of us in the house, so I think it'll be all right. Maybe I just like it more --- I've never had turkey go bad on me. We did forego keeping the carcass for soup this time, though.

Well, sure, just doing my duty. It is census season after all.

(The precise ages are 70 and 72, turning 71 and 73 this year.)
