I'm still going out once a week for groceries and etc so that's not an issue.

If it's super old (over like 18 months), you can generally throw some octane booster in fix it up some.

I've seen cars with 3-4 year old gas start right up after a new battery.

Most gas sold during the winter has stabilizer mixed in, so it'll last longer too.
