Well I also hear complaining of the opposite at the same time, which is confusing. That said San Fran was the first place to sprout a huge number of cases and NY has more cases then every other place in the US combined.

That said I don't even think there is a clear trend by any specific demographic except that people will latch onto anything to bash a political adversary. This does not apply to politicians by the way.

Two cities compared to the rest of the country? Does NY have over 150 million people to explain more than half of the cases in the US?

It's the most densely populated large city in the US, and lots of visitors from around the world.
