I recommend the following youtube channels. Sorry I don't have links, i can try to update them later as I'm posting this elsewhere when its finished:

About movies: "One Hundred Years of Cinema", how films came about and how it was reacted to at the time.
About business: "Business Blaze", or "Ordinary things"
About games: "Games as Literature" "Jordan H J", "John Learned", "MatthewMatosis", "Noah Caldwell-Gervais", "Stafefox"
About History: "ResearchIndicates (American Civil War in particular but also check his Zepplin special)" "Mr. Beat (every American presidential election summarized)"

Others:
Map Men: Weird things about maps
X Pilot: how historic plane crashes occurred w/ audio from pilots

Let me know if any of this helps, or any recommendations for under 1 million subscription channels

There were like two users who would constantly give negative comments to everything I posted. Where are they now? I missed them. Who are the current CE users who harshly reply to your posts nowadays?

Historia Civilis - in depth history channel mostly about the politics, people, and battles of the Roman Republic.
https://youtu.be/s9qlNBBoFG4

History Matters - another history channel with a much broader focus, originally producing 10-minute history videos but recently focusing on shorter 4ish minute videos.
https://youtu.be/fd7bEWTMxLo

Patrick (H) Willems - very thoughtful video essay/review channel on movies and moviemaking.
https://youtu.be/JKe8qCzPdkI

Spacedock - sci-fi nerd channel going in-depth on ship designs and occasional scripted comedy, like mocking Commander Riker.
https://youtu.be/gfW8hP3LZJ4

edit: added a sample video for each one.

His channel does a lot of survival horror games under different conditions. Speed runs, no damage runs, challenge runs. All with or without commentary which is always nice.

ResearchIndiates: Let's Play Jurassic Park Trespasser.

This guy did a CRAZY amount of research on the game, and ends on an important note about how the devs really tried to make it good but failed as opposed to games that are just cash grabs.

John Learned: Annotated Symphony of the Night playthrough

Event wanted to know the history behind EVERY enemy in Castlevania and what the devs were inspired by to make each one?

Two Best Friends: Silent Hill 2

I only point this out in particular as these two were much more serious and knew much more about the game than just doing it for funnies.
