I get bored of it like 80% of the way through and stop. Happened to me twice. It's fine, but imo it's the most boring FF side from 13.

I always lose interest at this one dungeon right near the end. I think it's because it's a marathon dungeon and there are these couple of enemies that can kill you if you're not careful, and losing all that progress bums me out.

Note that this is the GBA version. It's one of the harder versions.

PSP is already in English and it's by far the best version of the game.

  • Based on GBA version but has better graphics and music and fixes bugs.
  • Includes TAY built-in with all episodes unlocked and upgraded graphics from the Wii and restores the cut Ceodore challenge dungeon.
  • Includes Interlude which is a short sequel about some things that happen between 4 and TAY and this is the only way to play it.
  • TAY adds Proto-Babil which is a new superboss that you need to make 3x teams of 5 people to fight.

TAY is the equivalent of fan fiction on par with Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. DS/Steam version with generally upped difficulty, more dynamic fights where status is useful, and an augment system which allows you to customize characters is better. Different strokes I guess.

Yes I am using a FAQ, Unfortunately I have a mountain of other things to do and a long list of other games to play through. I just got back to Baron.

Ah, was curious, regarding the Cecil/paladin fight is particular. The instruction booklet talked about how to beat it, but there isn't much in-game suggestion about it (at least on SNES version, I forget if the GBA or DS versions hint at the solution).

From a storytelling perspective I think it's a really awesome thing, especially given its age.

you can win by attacking as well. He says something different if you beat him that way

On GBA, at least, there's a mystery dialog box that says "A true paladin will sheath the sword."
