Who wins?

I got Persona 5, it's more a Gamefaqs type of game. The game was BELOVED when it came out. In that 7 month period between the time it came out(Sept 15 2016) and the time Zelda: Breath of the Wild was released(March 3 2017), it was the biggest game on here. I think voters will wax nostalgically for that time, especially considering the dire situations now. They will long to go back to that era.

Um, no. Only hardcore Persona fans played it before its April 2017 release outside of Japan.

Oh so it came out in the US same time as Breath of the wild? Let me check US release date.

April 4th 2017 is when it came out, yea that looks right. So it came out 1 month after Breath of the Wild:

"Breath of the Wild launched for both the Wii U and Switch on March 3, 2017."

Rgiht now W3 is favourite

After Royal? Who knows. IT could legit 3rd strongest on the site for this contest period. Don't underestimate Royal release because it just not only brings in more persona fans to this sitebut also to other sites and the fans will rally for it. Witcher will probably be rallied too but the active community on here isn't going to be anywhere close to Persona 5.

One thing is for sure. Persona 5 is the Dark horse for Finals because we just don't know its strength yet. Outside of BOTW and Smash...it could potentially beat anyone.

I said this before but had Persoan 5 come out on switch already i would have 0 doubts about it being 3rd strongest for this decade even ahead of Skyrim.

We'll see. I'm rooting for it. But Witcher 3 is also something that could be stronger than we think

Persona games have been pretty weak on this site in the past. I don't think 5 will be much of an exception. I have Skyrim making it to the finals over either of them.

we've already seen P5 in polls. its done very well, even held its own decently against Breath of the wild in the 2017 GotY one. and its likely to be a lot stronger now due to all the new releases and Joker's inclusion in smash

dont think it'll beat witcher 3 still, but its definitely not weak. at worst its around the 5th or 6th strongest game in the bracket. without the recent spike in interest for witcher due to the netflix series, i would have taken it to beat W3.

It's still really hard to trust JRPG series like Persona and Fire Emblem, since as much as they get hyped up they still fold once they get to the legit competition. They'll definitely be winning quite a few matches in this trash bracket, but The Witcher 3 is the type of game that's still out of their league IMO.
