Do all of the symptoms hit you at once or does it build? Like I got a bit of a tickle in my throat today and it's a little sore. But that's it.

Like should I be having all of it at once if I got it or how's it work?

I've literally left the house once this past week and then last night went to a poker night with my friends and of course I feel a sore throat.

starts in your upper respiratory. progresses to your lower respiratory. can't be of much help but it's gradual.
takes 2 to 14 days if you played poker last night it doesn't progress that fast.

i get sore throats from waking up sometimes. once i drink some fluid it goes away.

California-based Cepheid, which makes the test, says it can start shipping next week.

Clinicians say faster testing will help alleviate some of the pressure on hospital resources. The new test is a significant advancement because some patients have complained it took them days to get results.

However, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the government's top infectious disease expert, said Saturday in a White House press briefing that not every single person in the U.S. needs to get tested.

When you go in and get tested, you are consuming personal protective equipment, masks and gowns. Those are high priority for the health care workers who are taking care of people who have coronavirus disease, Fauci said.

Health officials in New York City and Los Angeles are now recommending doctors avoid testing patients, except in cases where the results would significantly change treatment.

Efforts to tally U.S. testing numbers have been stymied by the fragmented nature of the country's health system, involving federal, state and local efforts and the private sector.

This week, members of Trump's coronavirus task force gave the most comprehensive figures on testing yet. Vice President Mike Pence said Saturday that about 195,000 people in the U.S. have been screened for the virus, a number that does not include additional tests from county hospitals or health care labs.

Most U.S. labs can process fewer than 100 patient samples per day. Last week, the FDA approved the first coronavirus tests for high-volume laboratory systems, which are capable of processing thousands per day. Thats expected to quickly increase U.S. testing capacity.

Yep. Happened with the NY public schools before the shut down too. He at one point said schools need to be open since it serves as childcare for healthcare workers and essential employees. And guarantees two meals a day for millions of low income kids. Then a couple hours later shut down the public school system. Good he made the decision even if they needed to be done a bit earlier.

5 year old, and 8 year old infected. This is couple days old, but I don't believe anyone reported this here yet.

Tbf if Rand is asymptomatic, that would reinforce Ron's post that this isn't a big deal

I think a big issue is he admitted to be asymptomatic and had no known contact with anyone infected. So a double standard happened. Might get some heat for that.

First days, symptoms will be light, you may think it's a cold or something.
After I think it will evolve into harsher flu symptoms, a distinct symptom is loss of lung capacity and quickly running out of breath despite not moving that much.

A big issue with SARS2 is that it commonly makes the victim feel better, only to suddenly rapidly become much worse and lead into pneumonia.

Welp. I'm fucked. No way I'll have the equipment I need to work from home before the Ohio lockdown hits. And my vacation time's basically spent.

Here's hoping my company's good and takes care of me in the meantime; got enough saved to cover rent/utils, but I've got my student loan(shark) sending daily emails basically to the effect of "yeah all this sucks. Remember to pay on time." I could be screwed right quick, lol.

I think the numbers are behind and something broke the trackers. NY numbers were at 22k earlier and entire US was at at least 38k. Now NY numbers are at 15k on many of the trackers.

My wife and I haven't been able to find an ATM that's active to withdraw cash right now. Our bank has been closed all last week. I just want to be able to do laundry as I still have work right now.

Yep. The last vote was 90-8 since two weren't there. I think Rand Paul voting against the bill so him not being there probably doesn't matter maybe it would for other three.
