I didn't play Ruby or Sapphire, I jumped straight into Emerald so I may have missed some of the earlier issues.
But I never thought there was too much water. I loved the variety in the world, caves/deserts/volcanoes/etc. Secret Bases were awesome Introduced some of my favorite pokemon, both in design and types I just remember playing it as a kid, bouncing between Emerald and FireRed, thinking pokemon was at its peak (which was actually HGSS but I digress). --- There are some things where I just bypass critical thinking. - ROD ... Are the 3DS remakes any good?Emerald is my favorite Pokmon game but Omega Ruby was kind of boring. Since its fully 3D the cool art style of the original game is gone. Also they made the battles much easier and I think they give you an exp share early on which eliminates the challenge of the game even more.
