I work for an ISP

we are considered an essential service by the govt so we have different permissions that other companies might not have. most of our company is WFH at this point but those that deal with customers & (more importantly) credit card information are required to go into the office (which is being rearranged for social distancing compliance). technicians also still have to work, but they get a lot more discretion now about what houses they enter, they're all wearing gloves now, etc.

services are run as usual, & the FCC urged many companies to waive late fees and disconnects (my company is complying). internet usage in houses is up due to everyone working from home but it's nothing a well maintained network can't handle.

so basically it's business as usual, nothing to really worry about from a customer perspective

This is going to get very interesting when the "emergency" is declared over, and all the deadbeats get everything disconnected all at once,

This is pretty much how we're working right now. We are also quickly coming up with plans on how to still do work even if we can't get inside of a house too.

Our network has seen heavier usage of course, but I don't think we've had any network speed issues to excessive demand yet.
