All of these rumors and stories on the internet are just going to make things worse. My dad, a retired military veteran, was right. Civilians freak out over everything. Just stay inside, don't leave unless it's for work. Talk to your boss / the workforce about filing for unemployment. Talk to the bank about filing for bankruptcy. Freaking out just causes panic.

I haven't had a chance to relax. I've had to work this whole time while everyone else on the internet seems to be at home. and I work in a fucking hospital of all places. I am trying to quit. I might not go in tonight. supposed to work 2 more weeks. but I am fed up. why the hell am I expected to risk my life just to clean some fucking dishes when patients could be eating off of paper plates?

Well since you brought it up, how is that your fault? Just do what you can and if you can't get ahold of her, tell your supervisor. If she's a good friend just call her or go by her house/apartment.

Society's not falling, this is only temporary. The news has power over people that they don't realize. People just need to listen and stop going out in big groups and keep their asses at home.

Well, like I said, just go and check on her or call her first. If you can't find her, just tell your supervisor you tried calling and checking on her and she is gone. Document the time, you went by. Keep a record of the phone call, maybe take a picture of you by her house and show them the time and date so you don't get in trouble.

I understand that panic isn't going to help anyone but people around here are way too relaxed for the problem we have around here tbh

Being relaxed is basically why the problem is out of control, people ain't taking it as seriously as they should

No, not listening and going outside in large groups is what's causing it. Being relaxed is good as long as you aren't acting stupid.
