Here is a spoiler. Please be warned, there is a spoiler within the spoiler tags. Within these tags, therein lies a spoiler.

From the tone of the whole series, I gathered there would not be a happy ending. That said, the completely pointless, low-key heroic sacrifice Geralt performed made complete sense, as did Yennefer's. It was pointless, yet profound. I miss Milva most of all.
