My parents keep wanting to go out and do random shit. Like my mom wants to drive to this lady's house and give a church donation. My dad wants to go to the DMV and all this bullshit. I even was staying at their place so I could help them with stuff. I been ordering food online for them along with anything else they need and just randomly they would go to the store. I am just at my wits end. I don't want them to get sick but I can't stop them from doing dumb shit and I honestly don't know what to do to help keep them safe.

I literally up root myself to help them and they will not help themselves. It just makes me sad. They are older if they get it then that is very bad. I was thinking about just locking up their keys , but I know I can't do that. I just hope since we live in the sticks and it is full of poor people no as being going any place were they could catch it.

I just feel so helpless with his and don't understand why they don't get how dangerous this thing is for older people. If it was something that they really needed to do I can understand but if freaking church donation. and I was like well mom just put it here mailbox, and my mom was but the mail man would steal it I have to give it to her. I am like what the mail man carries all our checks every day, why would steal a church donation.

I've been urging them to only go to a hospital, to get checked out. They both are sick right now. But they keep saying it's just a cold. I dont know why they wont just do it just to be safe

They were actually going to see some movie about saint Patrick tonight but the theaters shut down thankfully

Yep! I keep begging my mom to stay home from work but she insists she's following all the precautions. I won't stop worrying until the government forces a lockdown, or she listens to reason and self-isolates like the rest of us.

Did they ask you to do that? Kind of seems more like you're just trying to force your help on them to assuage your own fears rather than them wanting it.
