My city just shut down my job for 11-28 days and it's not looking good whatsoever that they'll have the capital to jumpstart once the lockdown is lifted. I think I might be jobless.

I'm wondering how proactive is too right now? Should I contact utilities, landlord, credit card, and unemployment and see what my options will be? Or wait and see what their blanket, uniform responses are since I'm far from alone in this scenario?

some places will work with you especially with your predicament.
as far as i know internet company's wont shut off your services for non-payment for 60 days.
same with electric at least pacific power won't.

i faced a different type of issue could only pay half the rent for december. she would gladly take that agreement provided i pay back the other 300$ when things improved.

Check your bank for lending deals as well as your landlord for options and grace periods

I have enough money to last until end of May, fortunately.

Theirs 2 options

1.) They're dicks and don't care as long as they get paid

2.) They're people like you and will work with you.

If #1, it doesn't matter. And look to move out when things settle and you're able. People like that don't deserve your money. If #2 the more upfront with them you are the more they are likely to work with you. It's an incredibly unique situation.

Until the government does something it's up to people to figure it out as people.
