I had been giving a drive home to this girl I work with for a couple weeks now....well on Tuesday she was the one who broke the ice and asked what I was doing on friday night...i told her nothing and she asked if I wanted to go out and do something together. I suggested this nice cafe by the pier because she said she wasn't really feeling dinner because of the whole no meat on friday thing and she seemed interested.

Everyday after work she mentioned how she was looking forward to going, and then all the sudden today at the end of the day I couldn't find her. She just abruptly left without saying goodbye or anything. She is a couple years older then me so she doesnt have a cellphone and I don't have her on facebook........so.......great, guess i got ditched..stood up, or whatever you want to call it

smh.....part of me wants to ask why but i know deep down the answer doesnt even matter......to want to sulk over this is pretty pathetic but I can't help but feel like I want to just bang my head against my desk. ffs man

thanks CE..rant over

Yeah, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that there's roughly 0% chance this isn't bullshit, lol.

Can you imagine if you were like "Hey girl, lemme at those digits." And she was like:

"I uh.. actually don't have a phone, so.. sorry."

Big time smh from me though. I don't know why girls can't just say "no" or "sorry, not interested" instead of playing along until the very last minute and then bailing. It's even more fucked up when they're the ones that made the plans to begin with.

But hey, maybe she just has really bad social anxiety or something. I wouldn't bother bringing it up the next time you see her, just act normal and see if she says anything about it.

My 63 year old mother has a cell phone. Unless she's nursing-home level, age shouldn't be a reason not to have a phone.

As logical as this may seem, it's never a good idea. Just makes you look desperate in their eyes. Just forget about it. It happens. No big. Act like it's nothing to you.

No...cellphone? That's a bit weird. But if you get the chance I'd ask what happened since she initiated the date. If you get like a non-answer then I'd just let it go and not bother again.
