You can simply get it on PS4, or the Xbox 360 version which is backwards compatible on the Xbox One.

Or if you want to play it portably, just play it in the Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles on the PSP, which is also available on Vita (and there is the PS1 version on Vita too, but that is pointless, and has less content than the PSP one).

I'm not buying the game again unless it comes with some kind of extra content.

I agree, those are also options to play it.

you can also buy the original and play on a ps2 or ps1 or backwards compatible ps3

Avoid the Sega Saturn version at all costs.

It has extra areas, but one of them is simply a short hallway, and the other one doesn't fit in with anywhere else in the game. Add tons of slowdown, long loading times, and clunky controls as well.

Avoid.

I've heard that Maria mode in it is pretty fun and plays completely different from the PSP version.

The Saturn version is a steaming pile of shit, and even then one playable character doesn't automatically make it good. It's the WORST version you could possibly play.
