The actual gameplay is fun. The card game is not fun, and youre required to play it to progress through the campaign. Idk why they would shoehorn this into an retro platformer esque game but it is annoying.

I find myself home screening a lot when I lose because the AI gets to take one of your cards if you lose which is super dumb. So you get set back if you lose.

it's terrible, and lots of achievements are tied to it, too. even the secret boss has to be beaten in joustus first...

The strategy is pretty much to collect all the strong cards hidden throughout the actual game to make an OP deck before playing. Which is fundamentally flawed from the get-go, but eh.

I will say I like the shorter bite-sized levels. I havent gotten to King Pridemoor yet but I assume its more forced Joustus instead of a real boss battle...

Yes you are... I literally had to clear out the first Joustus house to move on to the Goldwing. The story literally revolves around you beating the 3 judges and becoming Joustus champion

I played and 100% the campaign (including joustus and speedrun)

all you had to do was not go into the house and jump on the floating ring derp...

• Or just go into the house and go out and jump into the ring

You don't have to play the game at all

Well damn... at least thats a thing. I probably will slog through the game for the feats but at least I can play through this again without playing the dumb card game
