Honestly, as much as I hate Trump I think I'd still pick him over Biden. Like, worst case scenario we get 4 years of Trump being a lame duck when the Congress turns over. He's out then 100%. We elect another senile old man and have to deal with potentially 8 more years before we can get someone sane in office? Not sure if worth

What a non sequitur

The point is, lets say that we let prisoners vote except for, say, violent crimes. Well now anyone falsely imprisoned - including the many in groups that are often imprisoned unfairly, such as African Americans - under that guise loses that vote and with it, their rights. Id rather have 1000 guilty people get rights than one innocent person lose them.

actually worst case scenario is Trump gets to appoint 2 more supreme court justices and we have a 7-2 conservative majority there which can be a problem for more than 4 years. Normally I would think that too but this changes everything for me at least so I'm most likely going to vote for whoever the democratic nominee is (which at this point is Biden or Bernie).

Also didn't Biden say he wasn't going to run in 2024 or was that just a rumor I forget

Im not even denying that most are guilty. But in a country where so many people are prosecuted each year, there are still many innocent people wrongly imprisoned, even if its a small percentage, combined with the fact that many things that are considered felonies are not severe enough to constitute a loss of rights for the rest of your life.
